Advice and contra indications
Advice beforehand
Donot consumecaffeinated substances before the ceremony. It is recommended to have a light meal, so no heavy fare. Bring your own bottle to drink water from, drinking plenty of water is important.
Contra indications
Participation in a cocoa ceremony is not recommended if you have a hypersensitivity to cocoa or caffeine; are pregnant or breastfeeding; are taking certain medication such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, heart medication and medication for high and/or low blood pressure. If necessary, consult your doctor for advice. If you are on medication, please contact the ceremony facilitators in advance so we can discuss. Participation is entirely voluntary and at your own risk.
